Deb Zalokar is the director of Pilates at Lakeridge, as well as a certified Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor. She has worked in the fitness industry since 1993. She started her fitness career in New York City, and has been at Lakeridge since 1997. Deb holds a certificate in Fitness Instruction from New York University/SCE, as well as being an ACE certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor & Health Coach. In addition, she is trained in Pilates through the Pilates & Beyond Education Institute, Balanced Body & The Pilates Coach. She is also a Yoga, Spin, Aquatic Fitness, Outdoor Action Fitness & TRX Instructor. She is a Post-Rehab Conditioning Specialist through AAHFP & a Flexibility Technician through MPI.
Deb believes that cross-training is the key to a successful fitness practice. Her workouts combine stability, core conditioning, flexibility, balance, strength & cardio to help all members, whether they are elite or recreaional athletes, recovering from injury, or just beginning a workout program. She enjoys running, hiking, skiing & snowshoeing, and races a variety of distances from SK to marathons. She has run 21 marathons, has raced on 5 continents, and is an Abbott World Marathon Majors 6-Star Finisher.
