Aleksandra Josifoska Shul, Tennis Pro

Aleksandra Josifoska Shul, native of Macedonia, is former number one singles and doubles player at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration, Aleks attained a national ranking of 20 in singles and 26 in doubles.

At UNLV, Aleks was a 4 year All-American Participant, and recorded an NCAA singles appearance in 2013, as well as team appearances in ’11 and ’13. Among her accolades are the ‘13 Mountain West Player of The Year and UNLV Sportswoman of The Year.  Aleks led her team from the one position to become the Mountain West Champions in ’11 and ’13, which gave them a berth into the NCAA tournament as previously mentioned.  While at UNLV, Aleksandra also became an ITA Regional Champion for 2 consecutive years in ’12 and ‘13 propelling her to take a spot in the National Indoor Championship in New York City. While there, she posted one of the biggest upsets in program history by winning against the number 3 ranked player in the country.  Prior to joining UNLV, Aleksandra competed on the WTA tour for 1 year and reached a high ranking of 466. As a junior, she was a national champion of Macedonia in all junior categories and was part of her national team. As a part of the ITF team 16U, she reached a high ranking of 2 on ETA.

In her coaching career, Aleksandra worked at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in New York City and Sportime Tennis in Amagansett, East Hampton. She enjoys teaching tennis of all ages and levels.
