Uros Kogal, Personal Trainer
Uros Kogal is a former professional athlete with the Slovenian Athletics National Team and holds multiple titles in the decathlon and heptathlon. He was the U16 and U18 champion in both the high and long jump as well-. He has been coaching and working with professional athletes for over 15 years. Uros has coached professional tennis players like Polona Hercog (ranked 64th in the WTA) and Tadeja Majeric (ranked 111th in the WTA). In addition, he has coached track and field, skiing, snowboarding, soccer, volleyball, kickboxing and many others, making Uros a well-rounded fitness professional.
Currently, Uros is the head cross country and strength and conditioning coach for Sierra Nevada College. He holds certifications from the International Association of Athletics Federation and National Federation of State High School Association in track and field training/coaching and fundamentals of coaching respectively. Currently, Uros is working with renowned coach, Harry Marra to bring the High Sierra Track & Field Camp to the Sierra Nevada area.
Uros brings a high level of professionalism and expertise to the LTC training staff. He blends a high-energy level with a comprehensive background in sprint, jumping, and throwing techniques, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, injury prevention, and motivational techniques.
